A STYLE GUIDE TO SUMMER IN THE GARDEN

So, I thought my first blog post would be all about Ibiza… My favourite hotels, beaches, restaurants… You name it. But given the current curveball recently thrown by our beloved UK government, now enforcing a 14 day quarantine on all those travelling back from Spain and the Balearic Islands. I decided to save that blog post for a clearer, more ‘holiday friendly’ day.

Instead I am going to talk to you about my season favourites for summer 2020. Summer 2020 may be a little unconventional but that does not mean you shouldn’t look cute whilst enduring it!

Sure you may not be going to be taking that trip to Ibiza any time soon, or going to many weddings, but did you not hear… socially distanced garden parties are all the rage this year.

So first on the agenda is this cute, garden party look ideal for an outdoor picnic on a sunny day!

This amazing ‘Aria’ (£109) fit and flare floral dress is from House of CB. This dress is fully boned around the waist for a nice tight cinching. The puffed sleeves are such a cute addition to this dress, I love the puffed sleeve trend, there’s something so whimsical about it.

The Bag is from Kat Maconie. I first stumbled across this London based brand, at London fashion weekend when I was about 15. I absolutely love this brand and have loved watching them grow. P.S. they now have the most amazing store/beauty salon, all-in-one near London Bridge. This Bag is called the ‘FUJI MINI’ (£115) and is also available in a ‘maxi’ size. This pastel pink leather bag has gold grab handles and a cross body, long shoulder and handbag strap.

The ‘Vala’ (£101) pastel pink patent pumps are Steve Madden, I love the description for these on the Steve Madden website ‘Sharp, Shiny and Seductive’ Great! What more could a girl ask for! The colouring goes so perfectly with this dress and brings out the floral pattern nicely.

The Pink Satin Headband is from accessorise and is only £1.50 in the Sale. I think this completes the look perfectly, the all pink accessories all tie in nicely and complement the dress

You may be starting to get the impression that my style is very ‘girlie’, focusing on pinks, florals and cutsie silhouettes, whilst this is true, my style is also very diverse, I love my wardrobe and its diversity.

I love waking up in the morning and deciding what I am going to wear, what kind of impression I want to leave that day. Because what we wear leaves an impression, it has the power to invoke opinion and emotion. From the first date red dress to the interview stylish suit, it is a vital part of everyone’s life, choose to embrace it or not.

This Ted Baker ‘Nello’ (£99) lace dress is so flattering and ultra-feminine. This dress can be styled up or down depending on the event, I love wearing it with a pair of trainers and a leather jacket for a casual outing, or see styling details below for a more fashionable and formal look…

Styled with these Emilio Pucci ‘Pink Wavey Motif Round Sunglasses’ (£205). These sunglasses coincide with the blossom pink colour pallet perfectly. I absolutely love a statement sunglass; it can enhance a look massively (whilst also protecting your eyes from UV rays)

This small cross body bag is the Abott Lyon, ‘Frost Grey Moda Handbag‘ (£55.30). This is an amazing brand, with high quality pieces at an exceptionally low price point. This bag also comes with a personalisation option, to add an initial or two with Foil Embossing or Metal Lettering.

These Gorgeous ‘Carley Pearlized Twill Pump’ (£365) baby pink heels are from Ralph Lauren. These heels are fabulously feminine and match the colour palette perfectly. This look is ideal for a wedding, garden party or an afternoon tea outing.
